Two sets of controlled data are provided for each year of expedition. The first set is at time intervals of seconds for every day of the cruise and the second set is at 15 minute intervals. The data consist of Latitude, Longitude, Heading, Roll, Pitch, Heave, Track, Speed and Global Positioning System (GPS) sources at the second time intervals. The vessel's tracks in *.kml (Google Earth format) were derived from the 15 minute time intervals dataset and are also provided. Data before 2020 are presented in INT format; an internal text based format adopted by ArcticNet since the 2003. For the year 2020 and afterward, Amundsen Science has adopted CSV (Comma Separated Value) format to support its new policy on Open Data and Open Science. The corresponding ship tracks are presented in *.gpkg (Geopackage format: https://www.geopackage.org/) (external link) after 2020. Research programs participating in the Amundsen expeditions between 2003 and 2017 were CASES, ArcticNet, IPY-CFL, Solas, Geotraces, Malina, IOL and BP, Jamstec, Netcare, Weston, BREA, iBO and GreenEdge.\n\ncdm_data_type = Trajectory\nVARIABLES:\nplatform_name\nplatform_id (Platform WMO ID)\nfilename (Source File Name)\ncruise_number\ntime (seconds since 1970-01-01T00:00:00Z)\nlatitude (degrees_north)\nlongitude (degrees_east)\nHeading (Vessel Heading, degrees_north)\nRoll (Vessel Roll, degrees)\nPitch (Vessel Pitch, degrees)\nHeave (Vessel Heave, meter)\nTrack (Vessel True Direction, degrees_north)\nSpeed (Vessel True Speed, knots)\nGPS (GPS source, 1)\n https://erddap.amundsenscience.com/erddap/metadata/fgdc/xml/amundsen12447_fgdc.xml https://erddap.amundsenscience.com/erddap/metadata/iso19115/xml/amundsen12447_iso19115.xml https://erddap.amundsenscience.com/erddap/info/amundsen12447/index.htmlTable https://www.polardata.ca/pdcsearch/PDCSearchDOI.jsp?doi_id=12447 (external link) https://erddap.amundsenscience.com/erddap/rss/amundsen12447.rss https://erddap.amundsenscience.com/erddap/subscriptions/add.html?datasetID=amundsen12447&showErrors=false&email= Amundsen Science amundsen12447

Quality Assurance/Quality Control (QAQC) data are available for the summer periods between 2005 and 2021, except in 2007, 2008 and 2012 where the system was faulty or the ship was in maintenance. \n\nThe TSG data were corrected and controlled by comparing them to CTD-Rosette data and in situ measures when available. Outliers and suspicious measurements were removed from the dataset. Variables are provided every 7 minutes.\n\nResearch programs participating in the Amundsen expeditions between 2005 and 2021 include, ArcticNet, CFL, Geotraces, Malina, IOL and BP, BREA, Weston, Netcare, JAMSTEC, Statoil and iBO, GreenEdge, BAYSYS, Sentinel Nord (BriGHT, BOND), DFO ROV vulnerable marine ecosystem, and the Kitikmeot marine Ecosystem.\n\ncdm_data_type = Trajectory\nVARIABLES:\nplatform_name\nplatform_id (Platform WMO ID)\nfilename (Source File Name)\ncruise_number\ntime (seconds since 1970-01-01T00:00:00Z)\nlatitude (degrees_north)\nlongitude (degrees_east)\nTem_TSG (Temperature From Thermo-Salinometer, degrees_celcius)\nSal_TSG (Salinity from thermo-salinometer, PSU)\nFluo (Fluorescence, ug/L)\nVel (Sound Velocity From Velocity Sensor, m/s)\nSpeed (Vessel True Speed, Knt)\n https://erddap.amundsenscience.com/erddap/metadata/fgdc/xml/amundsen12715_fgdc.xml https://erddap.amundsenscience.com/erddap/metadata/iso19115/xml/amundsen12715_iso19115.xml https://erddap.amundsenscience.com/erddap/info/amundsen12715/index.htmlTable https://www.polardata.ca/pdcsearch/PDCSearchDOI.jsp?doi_id=12715 (external link) https://erddap.amundsenscience.com/erddap/rss/amundsen12715.rss https://erddap.amundsenscience.com/erddap/subscriptions/add.html?datasetID=amundsen12715&showErrors=false&email= Amundsen Science amundsen12715
