Bottom depth at deployment sites varied between 200 and 545 m. Mooring lines were equipped with various oceanographic instruments attached at different depths from 12 m to a maximum of 500 m below the surface. Moored instruments included ALEC conductivity-temperature-turbidity- chlorophyll-PAR sensors, SeaBird SB 26 and SB37 conductivity-temperature sensors, RMC4, RMC7 and RCM11 current meters, Nortek current profilers, McLane moored profilers and NIPR and Technicap sediment traps.
